Will a 2nd gen seat fit 1st gen?

Late to the party, but I do know the seats will swap from a Generation ll to a Gen l KLR 650, [no modifications required] and due to the improved seat foam, it is a good upgrade to consider.

Not sure who you are trying to sell your seat to but previous reply is a year old. I don't need one, was asking for a friend and now he has a 2nd gen on his 1st gen bike.
