Anyone out there know where to find some performance parts for an 05 KLR 250, i know this bike isn't meant for alot of speed but i'd like to tweak it as much as i can to see what i can do. any help will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!

 

Dual-Star has a few items. You can do the basic, open the air box(remove the lid,drill big holes), jetup two sizes, pipe it(Cobra, Super trapp) jet up one more, gear up the rear sprocket, changing the suspension fluids can make a big difference off road. I had a '92 KLR 250, but that was a long time ago. If your still checking out the KLX site, the performance up grades are almost the same. Send me a PM if you need help with some details.

 

Thanks for the advice on the kLR but i'm a newbie to this sport so i need some specifics on how to to do the mods your talking about. My friend knows more than me so he's going to help me. How do you install a jet kit? and also when you open up the air box, should i change filter as well? i was going to buy a K&N but was advised against it for trail use, is this true? also if i use a 14 tooth sprocket, will i lose alot of top end power? and 1 last question, i'm looking for a good exhaust but the only one's i can find are from FMF and Big Gun, which one gives me more power and are there any out there for less that $400.00 ???????? thanks for all your help bro, i really appreciate all of the info!!!!!!!!
