Default Help with Clutch cover/Clutch push rod on 1995 KLR 250

Hi,

I recently picked up a 95 KLR 250. Its my first bike and I have been learning the ropes as I go. Im in the midst of changing all the fluids and general matianance to get it up and running.

The problem i have is with reinstalling the clutch cover. I took the cover off to clean the small oil screen that is located behind the cover. All I did was remove the covert and clean that screen - I did not mess with the clutch at all. The cover went back on easily but now I have no tension from the clutch push rod/clutch arm when I go to reattach the clutch cable. That clutch arm that comes out of the case and attaches to the cable has no tension.
Not sure what happened. As far as I can tell everything looks in order.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!
