Default '86 KLR 250

I'm currently buying a 1986 KLR 250 here in Australia, it has a few issues, but i'm getting it cheap, so it'll be a good project.

My questions are, How hard is it to change the cam chain tensioner ? as one of them is broken, but the chain is fine.

Secondly, the bike stops running as soon as you pull in the clutch, i'm guessing it's flooding itself. It's hard to try and explain, as i am yet to see the bike first hand. I had a mate look at it today, he said it's a bit rough, but will look great with a clean up. The guy selling it, said it'll start if you push start it, so i'm hoping it's nothing major.

Thanks in advance.
Rob.

Hey Rob, so it dies when you pull in the clutch? That sounds like either there is a safety switch that has gone bad, or your clutch plates are stuck together. How long has the bike been sitting?

The bike has only been sitting for about a month. He said as soon as the clutch dis-engages it stops running. It won't start under the kick starter, and it won't idle or anything. When you attempt to kick start it, and remove the plug, it's wet, that's why i was thinking it's getting to much fuel.
