Default Should we have a section for trips?

Seeing as lately some of us have been posting pics of our travels, should we have a section dedicated to that topic? What do you think?

It's definitely not too bad of an idea. Sure the sights & sounds section also works, but the bigger the forum gets, the more specific the sections should be.

As long as people POST pics of their trips, I'm all for it!

Good idea. I'm doing a trip from Atlanta to Idaho and back in about three weeks.

No doubt I'll have plenty to share from that.

Unfortunately the ZX9 still has a ways to go. Finally found exhaust that will work with my master plan and I have to wait until I get back to the states to see if I will be able to graft the Ducati swing arm on the bike. If not then I'll have to go with the RAM swing arm which is way more expensive but I'm going to a single sided arm if it's the last thing I do. Other then that the bike is about ready to go. The pics in my profile photo album are the most current. Likely the ZX9 will spend most of it's time on the track. I'm even considering getting rid of the lights completely.

Instead of the ZX10 as I had orriginally planned I'm getting an 07 ZZR600. That's going to be my commuter and road trip machine. I wanted something a little smaller for fuel economy. I picked up an MRA touring screen and a cushy corbin seat which I think could be refered to as a couch or sofa... Also got a large tail bag from TwistedThrottle.com and other things.

I'm heading to Idaho for my mother's birthday and she doesn't know I'm coming. She thinks I'm going to be in Afghanistan for the rest of the year. I'll be taking tons-O-pictures for her photo album and I'm sure some will end up on KF. This is my first road trip on a bike and I'm pretty excited about it.

Right on... I'll do that for sure. Mapquest is claiming 31 hours from my house to my mother's house. I have a feeling I can do better then that. At the very least plan to do 10 hours a day for approx. three days. I'm a little nervous about the distance to be honest but I have a nice time buffer so I'm not in that big of a hurry.

Glad to see you back home scotty! Ride safe!

Personally I haven't had any really long trips yet, but my dad and my uncle have. They have both said that the biggest thing to watch for is getting tired. Take your time getting there, stop as much as you need to and have fun!

Can't wait to see some pics of your trip!
