Exclamation Pop-up when trying to close a KF page

Greetings,

this is a small annoying problem that I have not experienced on any other forum webpage.
I use FF for a browser and when I try to leave a forum post page (close it, for example), I get this annoying popup:
"This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved."

Googling into it, I found out that FF puts up this pop up because the webpage asks in the onbeforeunload handler.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/...onbeforeunload

Again, none of the other forums I visit (about a dozen) exhibit this behavior so it is limited to this KF only.

I understand the purpose of the handler, it tries to prevent the user from accidentally close the page if they have made edits without submitting them.
However, I usually do not make edits when reading forum posts.

Is there anything the mods can do in the forum SW to disable this handler?
And has nobody else seen this behavior? Am I the only one? LOL
(I searched here for the msg wording but did not find any posts referencing it)

Thank you
Lou

P.S.: Of course feel free to contact me if you need more information, I'd be happy to help.
