My dad has a 2001 kx 100, I want to get running for him. He got the bike with no key, an when I look up the igniton coil it shows no key switch, (21121-1296). My question is does it come with a new key set or do you unhook the ignition switch from the ignition coil an spark plug cable. An if so is it just the one bolt holding the key switch an the wire is the excite wire, to tell the bike turn on? Thanks everyone sorry for the grammar fat fingers.

KX with a key? Never heard of that. KX is the motocross series and no keys on them. If there is a key switch someone installed it and you could remove it.
