2002 500 - need hiway pegs
Hey all -
I've been trying to find replacements for my hiway pegs. I have a 2002 500LTD but have had zero luck finding one that fit. In fact, I called my local dealer and they can not offer anything either. Any ideas?

Well....I tried to manufacture them using some of the original parts and new material. What I created I deemed unsafe so I ordered what seems to be the exact replacement of what I had originally.

Hoedogg - you really don't want to see them!!! LOL!!! Duct tape and rubberbands have always been a source of construction material around my house. Last nite I thought I could have saved $100 and use the existing mounting brackets and got a 2 foot section of conduit and been happy with that arrangement. Don't tell my wife. She'll refuse the package when it arrives!!
Currently what I have on the bike are the mounting brackets which I have forced in with a big hammer a 90 degree elbow of 1/2" conduit. Then using the same big hammer I pounded in the foot pegs. I had to squash the end of the conduit that slid into the bracket to fit in. Once in I drilled a hole in the smashed conduit and screwed the bracket to it.
I'm tellin' ya, it ani't pretty. Fact is it's not even safe so I ordered the real stuff.
