Default KLF300 gearbox issue??

Hi everyone! I'm new hear so nice to meet you all and I look forward for your advice and welcomes! And sorry if this is a repeat thread!

So, here is the issue.

My works Kawasaki KLF300 quad (4x4) has 2 issues, but 1 major one with either the gear box or transfer box???

When throttling around 60%upwards the quad will start to make a horrible clunking noise and will lose momentum quickly! the only way to get up moderate hills on it is in first gear!

Has anyone ever experienced this on their quad?

Just giving it a quick look over i noticed a small square hole under the bottom of the block. here is a photo. could this be a cause??

It hasnt been run for a while and I just took it for a short run and its a bugger to change gear, the selector is very stiff!!

Second problem is the quad really struggles to idle, but revs no problem! ive adjusted the idle speed but its still very lumpy and cuts out! Ive heard could be injector?

I'm unsure on the year of the quad but it is fairly low hours.

Thanks again in advance! Tom
