it wants to idle sometimes but as soon as i give it throttle it dies, sometimes gas spurts in to the air cleaner box, are ebay new carbs any good for 60$ ?

 

Clean out your carb jets with carb cleaner and compressed air.
Remove them from the carb before squirting anything in the jets.
Remove the rubbery diaphragm before squirting carb cleaner in your carb as it can damage the plastics.
