Bought new in 2003. Belt light has tripped a few times over the years and I've always been able to reset it by crossing the electrical plugs over and cycling the ignition but not this time. So I figured if I'm going to have to take the cover off to see if the belt switch has actually tripped I might as well put on new drive belt on. Well I installed the new belt but the switch was not tripped. I put it all back together and tried a couple more times to reset the belt light but it is not working. Any help or suggestions guys would be appreciated.

I have the same 4 wheeler, same thing is happening to mine. Light has been on for years. Would like to know how to reset it.
