My buddy has a 2510 4x4 year 2000 it died, it wont crank over. He told me it was mine for $1000. Does anyone know a good place to start troubleshooting? is this a good price? Thanks Jim

 

More info please. What's a 2510? Make model and what its doing or not doing?

 

being that i dont know anything.... i would check to see if the motor is locked up, try spinning the crank shaft to make sure the motor is still spinning, then check spark, fuel, air.... basic stuff.... whats a 2510?

Its a model year 2000 Mule 2510 Four wheel drive. I havn't seen it yet, going to look at it tomorrow. He just called and said I could have it for $900, he's buying Kubota's version of the Mule.From what he says it sounds like the starter isn't engaging the flywheel.I wondered if this was common Thanks for any help. Jim

 

That sounds easy enough, if its just the starter... just get a new one.

 

If the starter motor spins but doesn't engage, don't waste moneybuying a whole starter, just buy the solenoid. There not cheap, but at least three hundred cheaper than a starter motor.
