I have a 2017 Mule Pro-FXT. We have been to Colorado 4 times riding the trails. Yesterday we had something happen that has never happened before. We were headed down a somewhat steep trail. The temp was 80ish degrees, no wind. Check engine light came on. At that point everything was operating like normal, just had a check engine light. We were approx 1 mile from the end of the trail and mostly downhill so we went ahead and kept going. 1/2 way down the EPS light came on. Now I am getting worried but thinking it could be a battery as the odometer/speedometer were not working but they were showing up. Checked the volt meter that I added a few years ago and it was at 14.1. We meet another sxs and have to do some creative maneuvering to get past and as soon as we do the brake pedal goes to the floor and there is no brakes. I used the parking brake to get off the rest of the way. When we get to the bottom the CVT light, the check engine light, and the EPS light are on. We sat for 20 minutes checking fluids, checking for leaks, checking fuses, anything that might be the cause. Trying to get the brakes to work. We find nothing. My wife has to pee so we try to limp it to the restroom and the CVT light comes on and off and the mule surges as the light comes and goes. The check engine light stays on. I kicked her out at the bathroom and head off to find anyone that could help us diagnose or give us a ride over the pass back to home. I shut the machine off and when I started it back up all the lights were off. Machine ran great on the 20 mile trip back over the pass.
my best guess is that is got hot on the descent and it caused these other issues. On the way over the pass we pulled the hood off and let it breathe a little bit. Anyone have any experience with this happening. I get the check engine light but not the brakes failing all of a sudden.
