2005 Kawasaki 3010 year 2005
I replaced belt on my Kawasaki mule today and when putting new belt on it was very tight. After I got it on and started her up it appeared to run fine. When I would accelerate the front pulley would close up and back would settle in some and appeared to work right. I put the cover on and tighten down every thing and took her for a spin. She sounded good and had good speed but when I decelerated I heard a sound I never heard before, like a rubbing of housing or something. I stopped, shifted to neutral and sat for a moment, floor boarded the has and all sounded good. I shifted in gear and floor boarded the gas and she took off good, got up to top speed very quickly but when you decelerate it makes the rubbing sound then stops. When I pulled into house and stopped to idle, the belt started squeaking. Took out of gear and it quit. Is belt not correct? I don’t see any place for adjustment of belt. Help, I don’t want to tear any thing up.
