Default 1993 Mule 2520 What is this Part?

I am trying to fix up a Mule that my boss owns. I took some things apart about a month ago, and finally got around to fixing the original issue, which was the gear shift splined shaft had broken off. With that fixed, I began to re-assemble, but for the life of me I can't figure out the purpose, let alone the assembly of this part:

If the pic doesn't show, here is a link to it:

What does this bracket do? what does it connect to? Does anyone have a picture or video of this part installed and working?

Best,
Sam

Can anyone help? I feel like anyone who has been wrenching on these should know... I'm just new to these and I can't find an owners manual anywhere.

it's either your clutch or throttle cable.

Smile Finding " What Parts"

Hi Samb,
If You push / pull / Levers / Step On the gas Pedal ,, What Cable Moves ???
The Big Cable under Your Hand ( in the Pic. ) looks like The forward / Neutral / Reverse
Shifter Cable . The " Plate " You Are Holding , maybe The Engine Speed /
Governor Plate Which Mounts On the Engine .
Can You Send me a PM.
I May have A Manual At Work For This Mule ????
