Ultra 260X conversion to non-supercharged
I purchased a 2009 Ultra 260X (84 hours) with a broken piston. Upon doing my research (after the fact), I am not looking for a race ski, but a good, reliable, long lasting ski. Looking to convert to non-supercharged. There does not seem to be a lot of info out there, and when I call Kawasaki shops back east, they say it not too difficult. They say I need to replace the following items:
Intake manifold
Exhaust manifold
Cylinder Head (12F of 15F)
But I am not sure about the following parts:
Pistons
Cylinder jug
I sold the super charger, intercooler, head, and intake manifold and that paid for the ski and trailer. So know I am sitting at even. Not sure if it makes sense to rebuild the ski to non-supercharged (preference), or part out the entire ski and buy a different one.
Is there anyone out there that has done this conversion that can help a guy out?
