hey guys I just picked up a 2004 ultra 150,it's my 1st ski and I had issue clogging up my intake , I had filled intake tube and log full of sand and gravel , it's time riding it , after shop gave me quote over a grand , and posting everywhere I could think of with no replies I was able to disconnect hose from back and suck most of the clog back out , took about 3 hours with shop vac adapter and flushing with air and water from top of heads , I had read on pages that these ultras were notorious for clogging at the elbows on top of the heads and also there was a 3 way pisser mod so you can see the bypass from front of all cylinders ? Of course no links to it or replies also a intake filter mod ? I cannot find anything on YouTube or by googling it , I can figure something out myself but would love to see how some others have done these mods ? What worked best ? Also it seems like all the ski forums and pages hate these ultras every time I see a post on one there's 10 replies calling them garbage ,engine issues etc , mine seems to run great now really hauls *** but it's my 1st so nothing to compare it to , are these models prone to fail ? Any help or tips links greatly appreciated ,thank you
