Stx 900 engine in 1100 hull?

Stx 900 engine in 1100 hull?
Hey guys, I will be able to pick up a 97 STX 1100 hull minus the engine, pump and ebox. The 1100 parts seem cost prohibitive at this point. I was wondering if the same year 900 triple motor and pump will work as they seem easier and cheaper to obtain. Any thoughts? Thanks
