Cool Kawasaki 650 Jet ski cylnder 1 missing

Okay all you experts, I need some help, I am out of ideas. My Kawasaki 650 jet ski quit running at the end of last year.I did some testing at the beginning of summer and determined it was the CDI box and replaced it.The ski fired right up.BUT it was missing on Cylinder 1, Cylinder 2 was perfect. If you remove the spark plug wire from cylinder 1 it runs better, remove it from cylinder 2 and it dies.It is obvious that something is wrong with cylinder 1.Swapped the plug from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2, no change cylinder 1 still bad (not the plug).Swapped the plug wires (plugs fire simultaneously on 650, so you can swap them) no change (not a wire).Did compression test, 150 per cylinder (not bad rings/piston).Kawasaki mechanic (free advice) said it must be the reeds, pulled them took to Kawasaki and he said they were perfect (not bad reeds).Mechanic indicated it must be bad seals allowing the front cylinder to suck air, he recommended I pull motor and change crank seals.Instead I bought a gauge and did a leak down test.Pumped it to 9 pounds, lost 3 pounds in 6 minutes, which is absolutely in spec (not bad seals).Cylinder 1 still missing!Single carburetor jetski so if cylinder 2 is fine can it be the carburetor?I don’t think so, but I am at a loss.I love a good puzzle, but….Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
