ANYONE HAVE TEST PROCEDURE TO CHECK STATOR ON MY 93 750 SS?
I DONT HAVE A MANUAL RIGHT NOW BUT I NEED THE TEST PROCEDURE AND OHMS VALUES. AS I UNDERSTAND, THIS IS A COMMON KAWASAKI PROBLEM. IS THIS CORRECT???
What are you testing for? Stator output for charging or signal for firing?
If you are testing for stator output, turn your meter to ac and test between the yellow wires from the staotr(common on most two and three phase systems, not looking at manual either at the moment for correct wire color) Have someone start the engine and turn on the water. Test for voltage between those wires. Max should be around 50V ac and if you test between any two and get no voltage you have an open short. This test is a more reliable test than ohms.
If it is signal your looking for then turn the motor over testing between the only other two wires not in the charging section of the stator and you should get voltage spikes between the two wires when the engine turns over.

IM LOOKING FOR SIGNAL. HAD SPARK ALL ALONG, THEN IT DISSAPEARED INSTANTLY. TRYING TO DETERMINE IF ITS IN THE CDI, GOIL, OR STATOR. I WAS TOLD STATORS ARE COMMON PROBLEMS ON A 750 KAWASAKI.
THANKS,
