Out on the lake, things going good then ski dies. Will turn over but won't start. Pulled plugs and have spark, tried starter fluid and it will rumble to life for about 2 seconds, real rough, then nothing. Seems like timing is off. Went through service manual checking this and that and found that resistance readings on the regulator/rectifier are not within specs. Not really a jet ski repair professional so I am wondering if symptom seems to match my diagnosis. Hate guessing and replacing unneeded parts. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
