I have an 89 ts 650 that will spark but not take a charge. after pulling it apart know I know why. the stator is burnt to crap. it is amazing it still sparks. So what do you think caused this and do I just need to replace the stator or something more. The stator plate looks like it rotated how do I keep it at the same position.
