2001 kawasaki 1100 STX D.I - Gauge Cluster Hours Question
Hi
I'm looking at a used 2001 kawasaki 1100 STX D.I. I messaged to ask the hours on the engine and if original or rebuilt. He claims original motor, he would check hours later today, but he mentioned he has purchased a used dash screen for it. My research is some makes store hours in engine computer and some in dash cluster and some in both places.
Can someone please shed some light if he purchased a used cluster would it show actual engine hours or what the cluster had stored. I would hate to buy a Ski showing 50 hours when it had 500...
Also, is this a dependable ski? I've had and worked on boats all my life, this is new to me.
