My 1996 750 STS will start up fine but only with the aftermarket primer kit that is installed. I have to use it every time. Also it will go fast, but if you let off the gas then it will die out within a few seconds. I changed the main fuel filter and it ran better but will still not idle.

Any thoughts? I know there are 2 more filters in the gas tank and I am thinking about changing them out today.

welcome to KF. is the gas old/bad? how about spark plugs?

 

id say there is a hole in the inlet manifold or hoses leading to it
