I have a 2000 900 STX and I have not had any problems with it until recently. I have 95 hours on it and within the past week the battery has been draining. It is a brand new battery but after I run it for a while, when I go to start it back up, the battery is dead and needs recharged. Sorry, but I am not really good at troubleshooting and could use some help.

Deff. sounds like charging system is at fault a quick check is to start the unit and put a Multimeter on the baterry In VDC mode, of course if your out of water hook up the cooling hose, but then rev the unit up and if the battery voltage stays the same then the charging system is at fault
