any body know any thing about wheel swaps like for an example using R1 wheels on a kawasaki or something like that and are all kawasaki whell compatible with each other thanks

 

I don't have personal experience dealing with wheel swaps, but I've read plenty on the 'net about it. I suspect that the job wouldn't be all that difficult once you've done a few sets (you'd know exactly what's needed). Usually the biggest differences being bearing and axle size, and some shimming may be required. Once you figure out your dimensions you need, there's plenty of bearing companies out there that either have or can accommodate you w/ the proper bearing for your application.

 

Might be able to be done with some mods I guess but just curious on why? Got extra bikes laying around?

 

well i just bought a 2005 zzr 600 and i not a bike fan of the stock three spocke wheels and i love the R1 wheels alot so seeing those on my bike will look great plus its alittle wide than a stock zzr 600 so ill have a some ehat of a fat tire look too im also lowing and extending the bike

 

so the wheels would work fine it just bearings and stuff sweet thanks for the input

thought: if you spend the money on stock wheels and the crap to make it all work, might be cheaper to go with a carrozzeria or something made for your zzr, look 10 times better and be a performance gain over some heavy stockers.

 

Many times those wheels also include all that "crap" to make them work as well.

 

Not saying it can't be done, but you also have brake rotors, sprocket bolt patterns, sprocket offset, and an occasional spacer or two. Just remember, playing with physics can have serious consequences. (That includes the fat tire and stretching the bike.) Keep us posted.
