What stops the center stand when you add a new exhaust?
I put a single pipe D&D exhaust system on my 85 zx600 A1, that exits to the right side of the bike. It appears that the center stand had previously rested against the left exhaust pipe when it had the factory dual system. I wouldn't worry about it, but the center stand is now resting against the chain. Is there something I can buy to bolt on or am I going to have to make something?

Do you mean the side kick stand or the center stand? If it is the center stand, why don't you just remove it?

There should be a stop for the center stand. Should not rest on the chain or on the muffler.

I mean the center stand. I had considered just removing it, but I use it often.
Yes, I realize It shouldn't rest against the chain. Lol. 10 miles of riding the chain would either break or it would cut through the center stand. The original center stand stop was a square welded to the left exhaust pipe and there is a rubber bushing on the center stand called the center stand dampener. |

Yep...I don't know of any kind of bolt on fix, unfortunately..... I'd say make summin, or remove center stand. Shouldn't be to hard to fab summin up to work...

Yeah, making up a bracket as mentioned, weld it to the exhaust and place the $2.97 92075 Damper Rubb main stad in place.
