Vulcan 900 Baron's Custom ULB Install
Cut the stock front turn signals off the wifes bike this weekend and installed a Baron's Custom Ultimate Light Bar. They claim it fits and wires into a Kaw Vulcan 900, butno instructions for this bike were included.
On the V900, the headlights and front running lights run off a 10a circuit. The f/r turn signals off a 2nd 10a circuit. With the new ULB installed (2 wires out of the ULB, one for the driving light and one for the turn signal power) the driving lights are working fine in concert w/ front hi/lo beams, but the 10a fuse for the f/r turn signals blows every time. There are no bare wires or shorts that I can see (in fact there were only the 2 splices per side for the 2 power wires).
I am completely stumped as to why this draw would be enough to blow the turn signal fuse consistently. While I considered wiring the front turns into the aux power line already in the headlight bucket, I would then lose the use of them as turns as they would be unswitched...right?
Thnx
