Default Trying to get to Countershaft seal

Oil has been leaking like crazy and my mechanic said it is the counter shaft seal. Got this far but every time I try and remove this bolt in front of the sprocket it just cranks the engine. Tried holding down rear brake while turning the bolt and it did the same thing. I’m a complete rookie when it comes to anything mechanical, just learning as I go. Any help/suggestions would be great!

Figured it out from some of the previous threads. Put the chain back on and had someone hold the brakes while I went at the nut.
