Can I use full synthetic oil on my 2001 eliminator 125 that has only 300 miles? thanks.

 

i use Silkolene Comp 4 10W/40 oil in my eliminator - don't know if it's full synth but it has synth written on the bottle lol

There are differing opinions about synthetic oil. Some manufacturers put it in from the factory and some people think you need a couple thousand miles before switching. I went to synthetic oil at 2999 miles, I now have 9850 miles. Maybe a call to the dealer to see what they say might be a good idea.

 

Not knowing exactly how the engine was broke in from the factory. I would stick with dyno oil for a few more miles on the break in.

 

I decided to change the oil to Dino Oil. Can you tell me a specific brand, I don't exactly know what Dino oil is, is it just non synthetic oil and could be any brand? thanks

 

Synthetic Oils....Hmmm.......lets put it this way:

You want pizza. Just pizza.
So, do you:
a) spend the money to get the Italian restaurants famous (and more expensive) style, because everybody tells you it's the best.
b) call dominos and get what you need, and spend some money on other things too.
after all, it's just pizza....

It's just oil. And the company that built the machine did all the research for you. What they say....do. Simple.

If you ever find yourself in a situation, where the type of oil you use becomes dramatically important to the performance of your bike, Your sponsers, mechanic, and manager will make those decisions for you.
