Starter won't turn

Exclamation Starter won't turn
I have been riding for the last two weeks with no problem. its beautiful out.The 04 250zzr is still working like a charm. however, today i got back on it after an hour at a friends house. Pressed the starter button, the starter turned a little and then just died. Now i can touch the starter button with absoleulty no noise nothing. I have checked all the fuses. Can anyone give me hints on how to asses or possibly fix it? Thanks Zach

Kinda sounds like a weak battery.
