Question Starter issues

Hi folks. I have an 07 ZX6R and I'm having mild issues starting the bike. The thing starts with no issues while in neutral. Starting today, however, the bike won't start in gear. This has never been a problem before. The clutch will be in, the kickstand will be up, etc. A couple of the shops I called thought it might be the kickstand switch, but when I start the bike in neutral, put it in gear and then drop the kickstand the bike shuts off so I don't think it's the kickstand switch. Anybody else have this problem before or at least have some kind of idea what the cause could be?

Thanks bro. You're my hero. Totally worked. I thought it was ok when I checked it earlier, but when I checked it again I found that it wasn't fully extending by 1/16". I just gave it a little flick when I pulled the clutch in and it came right on. I know it wasn't that big of a problem in the first place, but I have a track tomorrow and little things like that happening the day before make me paranoid as hell.

Yeah, no need for additional worries that is for sure. Congrats on the fix.
