Just acquired a model year 2001 Mule 3010 that sat for a year. Ran great up until it was put into hibernation. Carb was all gummed up so I pulled the fuel tank and see that it is rusted out...bad. I'd like to replace it with a plastic cell. Is there any reason that a generic tank can't be used? With a vacuum fuel pump, it appears that the pump simply "sucks" the fuel off of the bottom of the tank.

Seems pointless to replace a metal tank with another $350 metal one when plastic would last forever. Any advice???
