Not sure how tech this is but I recently lost my tail lens so I had to purchase a new assembly. I'm replacing a clear alternatives taillight with the exact same one and was wondering if I had to disassmble the whole rear (fairings,etc) in order to put the new one in...thanks in advance people!!

 

If its like a stock one then you'll probably have to remove the tailcone.

yes you will have to remove the tail .. I have one also & my other helmet slid off the back .. burnt the HJC up & smoked up the light ..

 

The factory tail light are nice but they seem to get a gap between the tail section and the top of the tail light. I replaced mine with a inter graded light and the same thing happened. Anyone have the same problem? Its a easy install yo replace the tail lamp. Good luck on your replacement.
