Rear tire rotating in Neutral

Hello friends, I had put my bike on center stand and when I started the bike, the rear tire began to rotate, this does not happen every time. Its a Ninja 1992.

Any thoughts?

Thanx

it's common. no biggie. centrifical forces do it from the motor.

Yeah what he said,,, You can put your Car on a lift and start it in neutral and the drive wheels will turn... Completely Normal...

Gearbox input shaft is being driven, Gear box is full of oil. Oil causes drag and transfers motion to the output shaft.

Likewise, if you pull the clutch in, the oil causes drag between the drive and driven plates. On a hot engine the oil is thinner and drags less.

Put a foot against the wheel and it stops spinning.

btw - you should always use the centre stand. It's much safer than the side stand.
