Question about electircals
Aight... So I got a mysterious problem that is shutting off my headlamp and all of the lights (nuetral, oil pressure, brights, and head light lamp). Turn sig lights work fine. as for the turns the previous owner (after dropping or crashing it) installed new aftermarket turns and wired them directly from the battery. Not sure why but kinda creative. So I check the fuses of course all good. I check with my $5.00 circuit tester and I don't have power at the headlamp or at any of the fuses except ACC and the main fuse. So I am begining to suspect the connection between the battery and the fuse box. The positive lead runs to the starter switch and then to the starter. No other positive lead except for the one to the turn sigs. Is this an odd configuration. Pardon my ignorance as I know just enough about mechanic to get myself into some serious trouble, but I'd like to try to fix this my self. Any ideas will be repaid with great admiration, and potentially beer if you live in the neighborhood. I'll post pictures after dinner (wife is already calling)
Thanks folks

ok, upon further review... there is a lead coming from the battery (white/red stripe) that (i thought led to the turn sig, but actually) leads to the junction box. it has power at the junction box (as does a white wire, but I can't tell where that coes from). again there is no power at any other wires coming to or from the junction box (except the afore mentioned white wire which has ower all the time as well). so I am believeing that the problem is a bad box. any one agree or have any ideas to check out?
I think if I run a jump wire from battery to the begining of both unpowered fuses I should be able to get down the road with my lights that I need and then get it fixed when I get a new Box. Does anyone see any major problems? Fir hazards? Can the J Box be taken apart and repaired possibly?
Update... Aight I jumped a wire to the junction box fuses and now everything is temporarily working. I will need to order a new junction box to permanently fix the bike. That should be a fairly simple R&R.
