See part #92055A on the diagram above? That's your culprit. Gas started running from the petcock on my '01 ZRX like water from a faucet. Changed that little O-ring and the leak stopped.

Yes that is. I've only done 30 miles on it. Most trips have ended with me being picked up. LOL!! One day that bike will be reliable, and I made it happen. It is hard to learn how to ride on a bike that breaksdown all the time. Oh well I'm learning how to ride and fix them all at the same time. Of course I'm loving every bit of it.

Does it look anything like this?

I got a 92 EX500 that sat for a year. I'm new to bikes, and about to go crazy while waiting for the manual to arrive. I can't get it to start, prob due to the vac hoses misrouted. Where can I find diagrams like the above one online? I cleaned the carbs, have fuel, decent spark and new plugs, but still no run...
Where does hose #702 in the diagram go to? Where does the petcock vac hose go to also??

Thanks...

The appendix section in your manual should help you.

edit: What manual are you getting?

Right now I only have the Clymer manual which is seriously lacking.
I have ordered the Kawasaki Factory Manual from the dealer...it's not here yet and they are taking their sweet time shipping it...and then it will go to the local dealer... ugh
Don't they know bikers don't have patience??? (not that I'm a biker YET, but I still have little patience)

^ +1 on getting the factory manual. Kinda spendy but is more detailed in my opinion. (I need all the help that I can get!) hahaha Good luck with your patience.

Jeez lads don't confuse the fella, lol.
if there are two pipes it usualy (but not always) means that there is a vacuum pipe, if it's got a prime swithch fuel runs free, on res or on it don't.
If you like that diagram, thencheck this link, it shoud be a link to a manual fer your bike.
let me know if it don't work or it's the wronk manual 'cos I got a couple more fer 250 kwaks here
