Default old ninja new forums

I bought a 1986 ninja 600cc during the winter and have been attempting to get it running decent ever since..my newest problem is that it is not charging the battery when i ride..it also hesitates at low rpm's..so it doesn't start to accelerate hard until about 4g's

If you do not like the new prices, you may be stuck on the standard fare of craigs list or ebay.

Yep, the generator is shot ($150 to $225 dealer new). It would help the studdering to clean and....anyone???......sync the carburetors. (Each carb must put out "exactly" the same to each cylinder, the hesitation is 2 or 3 cylinders accelerating before the 3rd or 4th catches up)

anyway, ebay for the generator, and google for "carburetor sync" and you'll be on the way.

MAYBE I SHOULD START A SITE ON HOW TO SYNC YOUR CARBS????? HMM.........

There's been no significant changes in the mechanics of that Ninja, hence, parts are still available. If you know cars, you'll figure it out fairly easy.
