Hey does anyone know what type of oil I shoul dbe using in my 01 ZX9R? I bought it about a month ago and need to do an oil change on it. Any specific brand? Weight? Also how difficult is it to bleed brakes on a bike? and diferent than a car?

I don't know for sure about the oil - check your service manual if you have one. I don't know about the brakes, one of the guys here should be able to answer that one for ya. (I've never done it)

 

I use Motul 5100 semi-synth. I love that stuff. Smooth shifting. As for the brakes, same conceptas a car[sm=shades.gif]

Just another thought is Kawa lube semi synthetic, Exel is another fairly decent oil I think!

I have only used that oil since I have owned the bike I love it great oil.. a bit pricey tho.. [:@]

bleading brakes on the bike is just like a car.. cept you want to tap banjo fitting wile depressing the lever.. ari likes to get caught there.. why are you bleeding the brakes??
