Default Ninja 250 Problem

First of all, I apologize. I'm sure this general problem exists somewhere on this forum, I just couldnt find one specific as mine.

So, recently I dropped my bike (boo). I wasn't moving too fast. Under 10mph. I dropped on my left side and did some fairing damage and destroyed my blinker light. I also bent my shift lever. After I recovered, I was unable to shift gears do to the lever being blocked by the rod below it. I bent that back in place and can now feel the gears shift as I work the lever.

However, I am unable to gain speed. In neutral, the bike will roll without depressing the clutch and the Neutral light comes on. Once I shift to 1st gear the light turns off, however I can still roll the bike (not as easily) without depressing the clutch. Also, while in 1st I can not gain hardly any power by working the throttle and feathering the clutch. If I am in first and push myself, I will maintain whatever speed I am able to push myself up to, but no faster. From there I can also shift gears, but still get no power.

Any help would be appreciated. What's the deal?

Check your clutch lever adjustment, any damage to the adjuster from the tip over, that kind of thing. The adjuster could have broke, and is keeping the clutch engaged partially.

Congrats on the lil 2fiddy and welcome to KF

edit: post up some pics and description of the ride.
