Default Ninja 250 Help

I need to know how to properly install a wideband 02 sensor on my ninja 250cc bike? Where to weld the bung or the proper amount of lenght from the header?

Thanks,Mike

First welcome to KF mike.

If you have already bought the wb, it tells you in the instructions on the best placement. Although each ride is different. The tough part is getting it welded if you are running a Ti full system. If you are on the stock exhaust, I could help you. (the bung weldment) I do not have the 250 to play with.

I have no idea, but why would you need a wideband 02 sensor anyway? Do you just want to use one for ease of tuning? Or, are you working on some 'super secret' high tech fuel injection system for the 250? If you're doing the later, that's awesome!

hmm.. yeah.. you can weld it a lil further away if its a 4 wire heated unit. but i'd venture to say maybe 8-10" off the radiusafter the flange.. not a promise on that, tho.. just a guess.

and i hope you at least have a MIG welder.. and like ted said.. if its Ti, you'll need to TIG it like any other exotic metal.

and yeah.. why you need a wideband on a 250? sounds like you're gonna do some ECU hacking or boost..

welcome to KF!!!!

Hey guys! I just boughtthe wideband for my ninja 250 to tune it the most accurate possible. I treid tuning it the way other people said (by the feel) but i dont know if its just me or not but it seems very difficult that way! It's a plx wideband. In the instructions it saysmount theo2 sensor 18" from the head but i dont knowif thats accurate or not due to the instructionsbeing reffered toa car exhaust. I have a custom exhaust on it. About 6 or so inches after the exhaust comes off the head it turns into a single all the way back. I have a friend thats gonna tig weld it all. I just wanted to make sure were the o2 went to get the most accurate readings. I will post more pics up soon guys. Sweet bike you got there whitehendrix!

Thanks for the help,Mike

P.S. Boy i surewould like to boost this little engine. Maybe in the future when it starts dieing.Imguess i would have totake it to a shop and get custom parts for it? Ive never seen performacerodsor anything for a250.Ive done lots ofuniquemods to my 250 that ive never seen on other 250's before. I get asked all the time if my bike is a 600....
