Default Need help!!!

Ok guys heres the thing i have a 1992 ZX7R i was getting a gasoline smell come to find out that the tank was cracked where it bolts up to the front of the bike apparently the guy who had the bike before me didnt put the rubbers on the tank so the vibration made a hairline crach on the weld is there anything i can do ie poxie or anything to fix it.....

maybe try a raidiator shop.

yes the do make an epoxy that is for gas tanks (radiators, and plastic tanks as well). i work in an auto parts store and we have a couple different kinds. they come in a two part epoxy putty. there is a kit with a patch for small holes and cracks. just make sure you drain all the fuel out of your tank, maybe scuff the area up that you are patching so the epoxy adheares correctly, and hit it with some brake clean to clean all the dust, gas, and othe chemicals off. put your epoxy on let it cure and you shoud be good to go. after it cures you could possibly sand it smoth and repaint if needed. any auto parts store should carry it. and it should only run $5-$10 depending on which one you get.

rofl dragone... "Youuuuuuuuu light up my liiiiiiiiiiiiife....."

I know there are tank seal coatings you can put inside and then roll the tank around so it is evenly coated... essentially puts a bladder inside your tank.

i took GS247 advide and i got weld poxi and this morning i filled the tank up and there was no leaks thank god....lol it was just a hair like crack on the front so i poxi it and got it nice and smooth. thank you guys for all the help.
