Hey Mike I just thought of something, what year is the bike? Was it running great the last time you shut it off? I am now wondering if a piece of carbon got in one of the valve seats and is holding one of them slightly open. That will mess things up, but usually gets kicked out in a hurry. If you can do it safely, you might try pull starting the bike and see if you can clear the throat of that bike. Just a thought. But like I said there will be someone who knows exactly what the dealio is.

Being that the kx125 is a two stroke, you have good spark and a new plug....I would verify fuel delivery first, do a plug read to see if it fouled. You may want to go through the carb, ie cleaning and float level adjustment.

LOL I just realized that it was a KX and not a KLX, thus there would be no valves. So the DEE DEE DEE award for today goes to me.

Yeah, Start with the carb and plug. Work your way back to the reed cage and make sure one isn't broken off or a slit in the boot. Then see if the power valves are opening and closing correctly. Hope it helps it's been awhile.
