Rebuilt my little brother's 02 kx65. We got it to start; sounds great, but i cant get the clutch to engage. When i put the right side cover on i had the clutch shift actuator taped so it doesnt move and a mark on the case where dead center of the circle was. Theres free play to the right about 2 inches or so, which didnt feel right.
Once i pass those 2 inchs i can move it another inch if i use all my might or adjust the cable to do so and it still wont engage.
Im about to take the cover off and see the inside, im at work right now

Could it be that i tightened the springs down in the clutch to much? I torqued to spec, but one bolt did strip and i left it (partzilla is sending me a new one ina day or so)
