I have a 2024 KLX 300 and I’m curious if anyone has found a solution to get rid of the OEM bulky throttle tube housing/kill switch and turning signal/headlight switches with something more streamlined and higher quality? Shot in the dark as I don’t know that there are any other controls that will work.

What really sparked this was a situation I ran into tonight. When changing out the stock grips/throttle tube for ODI lock ons, I broke the locating pin on the throttle housing and had to wrap electrical tape around the bar as a shim to keep the throttle housing tight/not rotate on the bar. It worked but it just feels sketchy to have that be what’s keeping the throttle housing from rotating, granted the stock plastic pins are so easy to break that I’m not sure which is worse. I realize the manufacturers may want them to break free easily to prevent damage in a crash. Still seems incredibly sketchy to hold controls together with plastic.

If anyone has found a higher quality solution to this it would be awesome to hear about it.
