KFX 50 idle problem
#2
hmm, I have not worked on one of those yet. In fact I need to look up the fiche just to make sure that we are on the same page. (the two different screw question seems abit odd)
Welcome to KF and good luck.

16014 is the pilot air adjustment, 16021 is the throttle stop screw. Generally, the pilot air is 2-1/4 turns out. The throttle stop governs just like a govenor or other throttle stop for kids. (speculation of course.) Thanks for posting up the pic

KFX 50 idles but dies on throttle opening
After sitting idle in garage for a while, got the engine started with fresh gas. Engine will idle but with just a bare touch of the throttle lever, the engine dies and will re-start but dies again. Obviously something not right in the carb but before removing it thought someone could offer some advice. This is a very low mileage, well-taken care of 4 wheeler for my grandson.
Need to help before tearing into it.
Thanks in advance,
Larry

Also, meant to add that just a slight to open the choke will cause the engine to die immediately.
Sounds like gas not available once the carb is off the choke position and the throttle is opened. Fuel seems to flow to the carb okay. Unscrewed the plug at bottom of carb and drained old fuel which did not appear dirty or old.
