kawasaki xl60 won't start - cleaned out gas tank - checked spark plug - still won't start - any suggestions???
what is the plunger starter on the carburator for???

You may be referring to a KX 60? Mikuni VM24 carb. The plunger starter is just a choke. Been awhile since I got to tinker with one.

Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter and or carb and verify that fuel is free running with the fuel tap in the "ON" position.

make sure the gas mixture is right and choke it and it should start unless the carb is gummed

 

Empty out the fuel bowl and start with fresh gas?
