ive just noticed that i cant find any low fuel indication, theres warning lights for oil, temp, high beam n turn signals but no fuel indication, is ther any way apart from the embarrasing running out of fuel or counting miles to tell that the fuel is low?????????

open the tank and look. what year do you have??

 

1999, sureley theres a better way not to run out than looking in the tank

 

you should have a fuel petcock at the bottom of the tank left hand side. make sure it is in the on position. then when it acts like it's running out of gas switch over to reserve. you will have enough to get to a gas station after that.

 

yea thats all good but there's normally a signal given before your run out of fuel, so you dont have an acident booting it down the motorway

 

If you have the 07 ZX6R, when you get near 1 gallon left in the tank, about 113 miles, the word FUEL will flash along with a low fuel light.

 

Um,... I'm sure I'm showing my age, but I remember riding with just a tach and speedo.....

 

that's a scary thought right there! hahaha what color of speedo's? lmao

If the Q2 is the 07 model, "fuel" will blink on the dash in the odometer locale.
