Default Idle Adjustment

Hey guys I am a newbie to working on bikes. Cars anything else I can tear apart and build but anyways.. My 06 zx10r has a high idle at 3k rpms. when warm.. When warming up it idles perfect. So i am wondering what I need to do to adjust it? where is the screw? is it adjustable without taking gas tank off or is it reachable?

It will tell you in the periodic maintenance section of your manual. Although I am not quite sure when you say it idles perfect when cold but not when warmed up. Check out the pdf manuals here in KF if you do not have one.

I have not come across that issue before, and I have not seen any ECU recalls yet either. (not that I have looked for it recently)

Right and whats weird about it is it didnt gradually happen. I was riding one day was fine. came to a stop light and the idle jumped right up and from that point on it was like that. If you roll the throttle forward ever so slightly like a mm it idles at 1500 like it always have. weird

hmm, again I am not sure, but the sub throttle has caused a few peoples issues. Mainly due to the owner removing it and reinstalling I believe it was. You may want to check that one out. But then again a vacuum leak will cause headaches.
