Default Ideas anyone...

Hey Folks,
I currently run a 500R.. Its been a few years and ive got a little bored. I was wondering if there were any improvements either motor or gear wise that will get me a little more pep.
I know trading up woudl be the best option but i love the way the 500 handles and feels, a little more power woudl be a great thing though.

Thanks in advance.
Loki

tune up or bore out the engine...have you swapped out the exhaust??? you can change out your gearing so you have a quicker take off...put go fast decals on it

Welcome to KF

From what I have read, the 500 is already pretty much maxed out for power and reliability. Sure, fine tuning to get the most out of it as with any ride, but not hopping it up. PM me

I agree that the lil' 500 is a fun ride. I like it and plan on keeping mine for awhile.

Hey Folks, Thanks for the ideas and such, ill take all of them into consideration... short of the go faster stickers.... I know someone who coverd his bike in Monster crap and said he was sponsored so... im not into that much cheese. LoL
Ill more than likely just go with a set of slip ons and maybe some different gearing for a faster take off.
I love my 500 but ill agree with Dragone#14, its pretty much maxed out... ill just get a different bike.
LoL.
How are the 650's LoL.

Keep the 500 for cruising. I am planning another 2k mile weekend road trip this spring on the 500. It still is a fun little bike

you could rejet the carbs, aftermarket exhaust & regear the bike -1 to start and go up a few teeth on the back sprocket if the -1 isnt enough
